It turns out a guy showing off his emotional side early on is goddamn sexy. A recent study has revealed that men are more likely to score a second date if they showcase their sensitive side on a first date.
As reported by GQ, three German researchers have found “a neural link between affective understanding and interpersonal attraction.” Basically, the more a guy shows his sensitive, emotional side the more women will be attracted to him.
“Humans interacting with other humans must be able to understand their interaction partner’s affect and motivations, often without words,” the study reports. “We asked participants to watch different persons experiencing different emotions. We found the better a participant thought they could understand another person’s emotion the more they felt attracted toward that person.”
So gentlemen, stop playing the mysterious ‘act like I don’t care’ guy, and get your Noah from The Notebook on!
