How often do single men change their bed sheets? The answer is… not very often. According to Metro, the average single guy only changes his sheets once every 3 months. That’s right, ladies. While you’re out having a good time, being single, doing your thang, your suitors are letting their dead skin cells fester in their sheets for longer than you could possibly imagine.
Apparently a lot of men just don’t find it necessary to change the sheets more that four times a year. And really good news, for those of us looking for a relationship — The survey also found that men never really learn this habit. Their girlfriends just change the sheets for them! Ah, a fun couples activity to look forward to.
‘We were quite alarmed at the apparent lack of basic hygiene from some respondents,’ said Jed MacEwan, managing director of Ergoflex UK which conducted the survey.
‘Dust mites would find a perfect habitat in such unhygienic bed sheets and they can cause allergic flare-ups, asthma, rhinitis and other physical reactions.’
Gross. Maybe next time you go home with a guy, when you ask the whole, “Do you have a condom? Are you STD-free?” shpeel, you might also want to include, “Do you have a set of clean sheets, and is it cool if I change them?”
