Today in important news from the land of Starbucks: Next month, the coffee giant will open its first restaurant to include an official dinner service. The Los Angeles joint will be called La Boulange, after the eponymous bakery chain Starbucks acquired in 2012, and will serve up such delicacies as a croissant burger and cocktails.
The restaurant is part of a greater push that will bring evening fare like booze and small plates like bacon-wrapped dates to thousands of Starbucks stores over the next few years. I’ve written before about why you shouldn’t take your date to Starbucks, but I will also say you could probably definitely sway me with the promise of a croissant burger.
