In the 60’s there was an anti-miscegenation law in Virginia that made it illegal for black and white people to marry. The powerful biopic Loving unmasks this tragedy, following Richard and Mildred Loving – the interracial couple who changed the course of American history by fighting for their right to be married at this time.

Filmmaker Jeff Nichols’ Loving premiered initially at Cannes Film Festival, and the first preview has now been released. Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga star as the amazing couple, who married in Washington D.C. only to be arrested shortly after. For 10 years they fought for their right to be together and raise a family – eventually triumphing in a Supreme Court decision to invalidate laws prohibiting interracial marriage in 1967.

This story is a must-tell, must-see, must-feel. Loving will open in limited theaters on November 4 before a wider release on November 11.
