NYC-based photographer Jen Cubmo recently began the project We Met on the Internet, capturing portraits of couples whose first interaction with one another was online. The goal of the new series is to capture the upbeat pace of urban life and honor the new normal of connecting to lovers in a media driven society.
The photos, which will be compiled into a book, are accompanied by a short essay on each couple’s story by writer Gina Tron, who’s been interviewing each couple as they’ve had their portrait made. Meet your boo-thang online? They’re actively seeking more participants on Jena’s site.
