How about we… plunge into a cross cultural experience with French-Asian fusion pastry perfection from Sweetmue.
BUILT FOR TWO
Taiwan meets Paris. Profiterole meets black sesame. A pint-sized bakery on 22nd and Guerrero, Sweetmue is a French patisserie with a Far East twist. Enter on Saturday or Sunday for the perfect grab ‘n’ go weekend breakfast on your way to vintage shop or bask in the rays at Dolores Park. A delightfully modern interior features a wide array of decadent but adorably teeny treats. Part Parisian with subtle Asian flavors, pick two morsels like black sesame cream puffs, chocolate tarts and jasmine tea macaroons.
Chase your amazing pastries with a cup o’ joe. Sweetmue only brews delightful pour-over, with beans supplied by NY roaster Gimme!
After ten years working in finance, Müller Luo pivoted her career in a big way. She turned her attention from portfolios and toward pastries, making a move from the corporate world to culinary school in one fell swoop. After a few months of apprenticing and a month-long trip across Asia, she worked on developing recipes and setting up shop in San Francisco’s Mission District. And the people of Dolores Park rejoiced.
