Technique is really only a small part of great sex. Perhaps more important than all your patented moves is the preparation that happens before you’re in the bedroom.
Here are 5 easy things you can do to set yourself up for better sex.
1. Go on a Porn Fast
Not that there’s anything wrong with watching porn. Too much of it, however, can desensitize a person to anything but a very particular kind of sex — a kind of sex which is very, very rare in the real world.
Try taking a week off from watching sex and see if you’re not more engaged next time you have it.
2. Get To Know Each Other (At Least a Little)
I hate to be an old fuddy duddy, but generally speaking, sex is better when the two people involved at least like each other. I’m not saying you have to backpacking in Europe before you have sex, but good conversation is an aphrodisiac. Really.
3. But Don’t Kill the Mystery Completely
Great sex between people who’ve been together for years happens all the time, but you sometimes do have to work a little harder for it. If you let someone know your deepest dark, most unsexy secrets before you do it for the first time, it can kind of kill the mood.
4. Build Anticipation
There are, of course, those times when you meet someone and you know that you just can wait to rip each other’s clothes off. So, you do, as soon as you get the chance and you’re so turned on that you get right down to it have really intense, fast, but mutually orgasmic sex.
For the other times (i.e. most of the time) building anticipation will make the sex better. Make out. For awhile. Stop her from unbuckling your belt. Stop him from putting his hand up your skirt. Pretend, just for a minute that full-on sex isn’t even on the table.
During foreplay, your body experiences an increase in oxytocin — a hormone which can increase the intensity of your orgasm. It’s science.
5. Don’t Be Wasted
Drunken sex is never as good. You know it’s not. Skipping that 5th and 6th drink will make all the difference when you get to the bedroom.
