Shit is about to get real (well, realer) on the Internet. Seven new domains – the last part of a web address, like .com or .org – will be released next week, with hundreds more expected to become available for purchase over the course of 2014. The list of proposed domains includes .bike, .coupons, .wtf, and, my personal favorite, .love. Close second: .pizza.
Take my advice, e-entrepreneurs (e-ntrepreneurs?), and languish on a prehistoric .biz or .info site no more. Nab one of these highly clickable, proto-viral URLs, then sell it off for five-gajillion dollars. All I ask in return is that you invite me to a gala on your private island, or at least a gala on your private island’s smaller, satellite private island.
