Last Wednesday, two New Yorkers went on a date in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The end of the night came, and the 22-year-old lady in question declined to go home with her 24-year-old companion. He responded to rejection like a true gentleman: by grabbing her iPhone and running away.
To make matters worse (much, much worse), this creep — with whom she’d chatted for two weeks on OkCupid — hijacked her account on the dating site and texted his date’s friends pretending to be her. That said, his revenge wasn’t particularly creative: he altered her OKC profile to read “I’m available for threesomes” and sent her friends an SMS saying, “I’m all right everyone, just a little drunk but I’m home now.”
The NYPD is currently on the hunt for the suspect, but she’ll always remember him as the one that got away. With her phone.
