There’s a new show to watch this summer on the Discovery channel, a twist on an old classic. It’s called “Naked and Afraid,” and it’s exactly what it sounds like. (Okay, well maybe it isn’t that obvious, but it does involve naked people who are afraid.)
Similar to “Survivor,” “Naked and Afraid” takes two people – one man and one woman – and throws them into the wild for 21 days with no food, no water, and no clothes. The craziest part? It’s literally just to see if they can survive. There are no prizes in this insane wilderness challenge.
If I were a contestant on “Naked and Afraid,” my thought process would go a little something like this:
Okay, I’m all for this. I can totally do this. …I can bring sunscreen, right?
Oh. I can’t bring sunscreen? Uh. Okay. I guess I can deal with that. Find some shade somewhere on the island and–
WAIT. What do you mean there will be bugs everywhere? And poisonous snakes? OH HELL NO.
I might have to catch a fish with my vagina?? I’m ALLERGIC to fish.
Then I would just kill myself and be done with it. So… I’ll probably just stick to watching the show on TV. Check out “Naked and Afraid” on the Discovery channel, Sunday nights at 10pm.
