But there’s no need to feel any angst this time around – here’s a list of awesome events just for singles. Whether you’re bitter about the whole situation or  looking to meet someone special, there’s a party that’s your M.O. So, grab round up your friends and get to booking.

4th Annual ‘Love in Transit’ Party, New York City

For the fourth year in a row, the New York Transit Museum is hosting a Missed Connections party, inspired by those Craigslist classifieds where users confess their love for someone they saw along their commute. There will be tons of station style activities for you and friends to move through, a photo booth built into a historic token booth, and buttons that proclaim your availability for future Subway rides. Tickets are $15 for non museum members.

Birds’ Anti-Valentine’s Party, Los Angeles


Complete with voodoo dolls for your exes, piñata agression-release thereapy, and tons of other singles, Birds’ is ready to celebrate their 19th annual Anti-Valentine’s party. It might sound cynical, but there will be plenty of numbers exchanged before the night as over. And if you don’t get one, you’ll still get some candy (from the piñata).

Cupid’s Bar Crawl, Washington, D.C


Cupid’s Bar Crawl is the country’s largest and most electrifying Valentine’s Day themed pub crawl. Join thousands of fellow crawlers and take a shot at love at some of Dupont Circle’s most popular bars while sipping on your favorite drinks. Tickets are $15 each.

The Reader’s Third Annual Anti-Valentine’s Day Party, Chicago


This event will feature a number of storytellers sharing their Best Bad Date stories, while an all-chick goth bands provide music throughout the night. The Windy City roller girls will be on hand to serve drinks and delivery Valentine’s to anyone you fancy. Tickets are $14.

The Singles Dash 5K, Indianapolis


What better reason to run faster than a hottie with a body running ahead of you. If you’re an avid runner or just bought a new pair of Nike Frees, the Singles Dash 5k (only 3.1 miles) will feature hundreds of other singles jogging through Broad Ripple Village on February 15. Registration is $45.

Kill Cupid Party, Atlanta

This party at {three} sheets is fully prepared to set you up on Valentine’s Day. The big night is sponsored by Grey Goose, so there will be a dueling ice luge so you won’t have to do shots alone. Plus, the cocktails will be lit so you can easily target who’s single and who’s not.

Mockingbird Station’s Anti-Valentine’s Day Bash, Dallas


A $15 ticket to this party at Dallas’ Mockingbird Station buys your three beers, kobe beef sliders, a gift bag, and tons of eye candy, especially the “naughty Cupid.” Local jazz players will provide the tunes until 10pm, plus a percentage of the proceeds will go towards the American Heart Association.

10th Annual Mile of Meet, Philadelphia

This party saw over 500 singles in attendance last year and boasts a 50/50 male to female ratio. Guys will register and line up along Main St before the ladies travel down to “man shop.” After the parade of singles is over, the whole group joins together for a huge party. If you’re really in the mood to meet someone, this is the party for you.

Love Bites: The Power Ballads Sing-a-Long, Brooklyn


No one understands you quite like Celine Dion or Journey, so why not spend Valentine’s Day paying homage to the power ballads that have gotten you through the ups and downs of your love life. The night at Union Hall includes air guitar, costume, and worst break up story contests. Winners get coveted tickets to Webster Hall’s Awesome 80s Prom. Cover is $8.
